Abstract
Soft skills are conceptualized as a set of skills that are related to social action. They are essential for citizenship training because they impact the student's personality, behavior, attitudes, and emotions, which influences. The research objective was to describe the relationship between students' soft skills and the improvement of coexistence in the school environment from conceptual and investigative references. The research was based on the systematic method, hermeneutic paradigm, qualitative approach, narrative design, and informative documentary type. Twenty-eight current articles obtained from open-access repositories were used. The information was processed using an analytical and interpretive approach; the most relevant factors identified are framed in socio-emotional skills, interpersonal relationships, positive behavior, ethics, and values. The conclusions highlight the need to develop soft skills as it would impact the training of students to be participatory, tolerant, empathetic, respectful, and purposeful citizens that contribute significantly to the achievement of a favorable climate, peaceful coexistence in school and in the environments where they operate for their own and collective comprehensive well-being.
