Artificial Intelligence (AI) Policy
In the context of the increasing use of AI in academic content creation, TEJD establishes the following policy to guarantee integrity, transparency, and rigor in the production and dissemination of scientific knowledge:
-
Authors must explicitly declare any use of AI tools in writing, data analysis, or content generation.
-
The use of AI does not exempt the author from full responsibility for originality, integrity, and accuracy of the manuscript.
-
Texts entirely generated by AI without human intellectual contribution will not be accepted.
-
All AI usage must adhere to the Heredia Declaration on Ethics and Principles in Artificial Intelligence (2023), ensuring that AI-assisted research respects human dignity, transparency, fairness, accountability, and academic integrity.

Once the review process has started, the APC is non-refundable if the author withdraws the manuscript or fails to meet revision deadlines.

Authors have a maximum of 5 months to respond to the first-round reviewer comments and up to 12 months to complete the editorial process.
Conflicts of Interest
Authors must complete the Ethics Declaration Form indicating the existence or absence of any conflicts of interest. See ethics policies.
Copyright
Upon acceptance for publication, the author retains the rights to reproduce and distribute their work, in any country and format, while granting the journal the right of first publication under the CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 license.
Funding
The author must declare the institutions or sponsors that funded the research and their role in the design, data collection, analysis, writing, or decision to publish. If no funding exists, this must be expressly stated.
Indexing and Repositories
RTED's indexing in databases, repositories, libraries, and indexes is managed and updated by third parties; therefore, they do not directly report to RTED. This means that any changes or updates to these indexes are made following the criteria and processes established by these independent entities.
Ethics Statement
Every manuscript submitted to the journal must include an ethics statement in which the author(s) declare that the submitted research complies with the corresponding ethical and legal principles. This section must indicate, as appropriate, approval by an institutional ethics committee, informed consent of participants, respect for data confidentiality, and the absence of conflicts of interest, plagiarism, or manipulation of results. This statement is an essential requirement for the evaluation and eventual publication of the article.
